To move with ease, and It’s useful explanatory text on the bottom, and we dug the context-sensitive menu that appears pop-up from time to time provide more options. One cool extra reserved for highly "product-Guide” through a multitude of features on the TV.
The remote is basically the same as last year, Apart of for a new prominence on the back that holds the team click on a flat surface, and we're certainly fans - especially since Samsung planted rotation of the scroll wheel. The buttons are large, backlit and easily depending on the size and shape, and we liked the dedicated “Tools” key that provides quick access to e-manual, picture and sound modes, the sleep timer, and PIP controls in the image. We did not like the remote glossy black finish, however, which keep up more than its share of tarnish fingerprints after a few minutes. The company also includes a small, almost useless in hockey-puck style remote that only volume control,the channel, and power.

Other interactive features abound on this UNB700series. And can streaming video, cameras and music via DLNA Certified network connection, and its USB ports that can connect to MP3 players USB memory sticks, digital cameras (which have not tested this feature yet but will update this review when we do). There are also integrated into the "content", such as recipes, games, product-Guide, and a presentation a slide-show of high definition images with music. You can choose from four aspect ratio modes for HD sources, two of which can move the entire image on the screen horizontally and vertically. As you might expect from a 1080p TV, one of those modes, called to adapt the screen to scale 1080i and 1080p sources directly UNB7000 the pixels of the panel is no overscan - the best option if you see interference on the edge of screen as may be the case with some channels or programs.

Performance

In summary, the series has made a UN46B7000 very positive, but some defects prevented from matching the best models we tested, including changes in local dimming-equipped LED based LCD. Despite its relatively deep black levels, the backlight variable declining performance in very dark scenes. We also noticed some problems with consistency, especially in dark scenes, which are probably caused by the system of LED lighting device. That said, we really appreciate color sets precise and personalized dejudder setting.
Black level: Overall UNB7000 Samsung has not well in this category, most other displays in our comparison. This is primarily because the LEDs on the edges of the screen, we call his "blacklight" to avoid confusion, has fluctuated depending on the overall brightness of the scene. Samsung UN55B7000 LCD HDTV are edge-lit LCD models equivalent to local projects glare, as Ms. Samsung proclaimed? Based on the evidence here, not quite. But they are much closer than I expected, and have much to offer greatly less money.

Slim and Smart

Samsung present to the models 7000 series(and many of its new all), such as  LED HDTVs, but LED design only to the type of backlight. Technical, the backgrounds are still LCD.

Setup and Control

Samsung contain two different remotes as UN55B7000. A mini remote control, antenna-shaped egg, and turns the set on-off, adjust volume and change channels. But since you can use the selection of channels with the tuner, the remote must be of limited use if you have a satellite or cable viewers (unless you watch unencrypted cable channels with a direct cable feed to the set without cable box).The larger remote is handy buttons enormous size, fully lit, and is one of the best I’ve seen. It only flaw (a common) is that the input selection is via a menu on the screen, rather than direct selection by the remote.
The Samsung UN55B7000 LCD HDTV has six modes of picture, and they are all separately adjustable for each input. In addition to the usual video controls, including a backlight in 10 steps, there is a wide range of other adjustments. Perhaps the least common one is a blue frame. for turn-of the red and green, this feature provides an accurate tool for defining the color and tint with a color test pattern. The usual technique for obtaining these setting right requires of a special filter blue, which is not as accurate.
Many special controls in the setting are only available in standard and cinema mune. These include a seven-step Gamma adjustment, color space (a system of color management with a comprehensive set of controls for optimizing the color gamut), and white balance controls(high and low for the three colors).



It also has a way of regulable the movie mode and picture-in-picture (PiP). The controls I did not need and do not use colors are black, Dynamic Contrast, Edge Enhancement (FIE, Satan!), Digital noise reduction, and xvYCC. The Samsung has two USB inputs which can be used to display photos, music and video (including HD video), the recorded in a compatible format. DLNA is also available play of material that is stored on your computer through your home network.

While the menus at the Samsung is good, I have some quibbles minor. The most important of these is that the time is too fast, which can be a important problem in trying to calibrate the gray scale and color space. If you do the calibration settings individual menus, for each setting are at the bottom of the screen where you can see, but they are out of the way of the measuring device. But before taking the measure, the time out menus and return to the previous menu full-screen that blocks the instrument.

Edge-lit LED-based LCD

In most LCD sets, the backlight is placed behind the LCD screen with a speaker that provides a relatively uniform illumination across the screen. In the first series with LED backlighting, LED simply replaced by the cold cathode fluorescent more frequent (CCFL) backlight.The LEDs are placed behind the screen in small groups of red, green, blue devices (or white LEDs, with an appropriate approach filters-Samsung) have an advantage over CCFL you can easily dim or turn-off them. This has led to the development of sets of local dimming LED. In this setting(currently only a handful of models), the LED are dimmed by zone in response to the characteristics of the source. This might strengthen the blacks, if necessary, without dimming the bright areas of the image.
So what is that thing with the edge of LED lighting? separately from the cost (LED backlight requires a lot of LED), a major problem with backlight behind the screen, and this limits the total fine may be. If the last paragraph is that a few downer, I must say that the Samsung has a lot of businesses here. Degradation of the image off-axis is a problem with most LCDs, and it is probably the last major weakness of LCD models now that the black levels (the best series) have improved considerably. However, The Samsung does not have much company when it comes to extraordinary combination of colors, deep blacks, shadow detail view, the precise resolution , and exceptional video processing. If you are looking for a first-class LCD, but can not completely cover the development budget to local-dimming design (a room-darkening Samsung size is the same for $ 5,000and $ 7,000 for a Sony) This set deserves a look very close.
